Robin Padilla hopes to be with wife Mariel when she gives birth

Mariel Padilla is set to leave for Delaware, U.S.A., this September 23, which is two months away from her due date.

Her husband Robin told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that they arrived at such decision to ensure Mariel's safe delivery.

He said during their baby shower, “Siyempre, kailangang malaman ng karamihan na yun pong pagbubuntis ni Mariel ay medyo delikado.

It can be recalled that in her first trimester, Mariel detailed her 'maselan na pagbubuntis.'

In an interview held last May, the Kapamilya host said she's been having Heparin shots 'so that the nutrients from the food I eat can go to the baby.'

She resumed, 'I do this twice a day, once in the morning and again at night.”

Add to this, she has gestational diabetes.

'So I check my blood sugar levels thrice a day and take insulin,' Mariel resumed.

Back to Robin, he further explained why they chose an American hospital.

Mariel cannot tell yet when she's going to be back because, 'it all depends on the baby, hindi namin masabi kung hanggang kailan.”

Will Robin be joining Mariel in the U.S.?

Mariel agreed.

'I think the baby deserves that, yung one hundred percent full attention na maibibigay namin sa baby ko.

'Lalo na ako, I prayed so much for these, kailangan ma-feel ni baby ang 100 percent attention namin ay nasa kanya, maalagaan ko siya at matutukan ko siya bilang ina niya.'

Lastly, given Mariel's two miscarriages, Robin said, 'Miracle baby ito e kaya kailangan naming ibigay sa kanya lahat.

-- For more showbiz news, visit PEP.ph
