PEP: Tears flowed at Inah Revilla-Vince del Rosario wedding
Inah Felicia Bautista, 18-year-old daughter of action-star-turned-politician Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr and actress Lani Mercado, tied the knot with her 23-year-old boyfriend Jorge Vicente "Vince" del Rosario, yesterday, May 28, at the Manila Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica in Intramuros, Manila. Inah, who is five months pregnant with their first childâa girl they plan to name Alexa Daniellaâwalked down the aisle crying, but genuinely happy. "Actually, I didn't expect that I was sobbing while I was walking through the aisle. I guess I was overwhelmed, kasi before ako pumunta sa church, I was pa-easy-easy lang. Then pagdating ko doon, biglang..." said the bride during the reception. Her husband Vince, son of Jorge del Rosario and Angela Dizon Da Roza, was also near tears. The mother and father of the bride became emotional during the nuptials. "Drum na ang luhang inilabas ko, gabi-gabi na lang, kahit na nag-iisa ako, nag-iisip ako. It's not easy for me accept it, but I have no choice. I love my daughter, kung ano âyong gusto niya, kung sino âyong mahal niya, mamahalin din namin," said Bong. "We're just here to guide them, support them. Ang wish namin for the both of them, sana magkaroon sila ng magandang pamilya, happiness, katulad ng inabot namin [ni Lani], despite of all the intrigues. Bago makasal sila, marami nang pagsubok na dinaanan. Muntik pa hindi matuloy ang wedding because of some people trying to destroy our relationship with the other side [Vince's family]. Ang point is at least naayos and we will do this because of my daughter. We love our daughter, we love Vince." Bong added smiling: "'Yong apo kong girl na âyon ang makakabunot ng tinik sa puso ko." May 28 turns out to be a double celebration for it's also Bong and Lani's 22nd wedding anniversary. When asked how they are going to celebrate it, Lani said laughing, "Kami na lang dalawa doon." The 12 pairs of principal sponsors include big names in politics and showbiz: Senate President Manny Villar, Senator Pia Cayetano, Senator Mar Roxas, Ilocos Norte Congresswoman Imee Marcos, Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Ronaldo Puno, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's daughter Evangelina Lourdes "Luli" Arroyo, GMA-7 president and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon, ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio, and Megastar Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan who wasn't present at the ceremonies. THE RECEPTION. The nuptial mass was followed by a grand reception attended by family and close friends at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. There was an audio-visual presentation of the couple's love story with a funny intro of Vince, in Bong's costume from the movie Agimat, rescuing the damsel Inah. The Revillas did an AVP relaying their wishes for the newlyweds. "Take care of my sister. We love her so much. I never expected that you would be my brother-in-law this soon. I was expecting siguro 10 years, 15 years or something like that, pero napaaga, e. Well, at least I know that my sister is in good hands," Inah's eldest brother Brian Revilla said to his friend Vince. "You guys deserve each other. Congratulations and I love you guys." "Inah, dalawa na tayo. Maaga nating ginawang lolo at lola sina [Papa at] Mama, pero okay lang âyon, pinasaya naman natin sila, e. Mami-miss kita, sobra, kasi mawawala ka na dito sa bahay. Pero okay lang âyon, alam ko naman kung saan kayo titira ni Vince. Pupuntahan ko na lang kayo lagi. God bless you and we love you so much. Mahal na mahal ka namin, Inah," said Jolo Revilla, who is also one of the groomsmen. The hosts for the reception were Ketchup Eusebio and Iya Villania. Singers Aiza Seguerra, Richard Poon, and Martin Nievera serenaded the couple. Vince and Inah will move out today, May 29, to their new homeâa 10 million, fully-furnished condo unit in Makati, which is a gift from Vince's dad. - Philippine Entertainment Portal
