Barbie Hsu's family marks late actress' birthday at resting place

Barbie Hsu’s family, including her husband DJ Koo and sister Dee Hsu, gathered at her resting place to mark what would have been her 50th birthday.

On Instagram, Dee shared photos from their visit where they wore pink and surrounded Barbie’s grave with pink flowers.

“Today is my sister's 48th birthday, of course I have to come and celebrate her birthday, bringing her favorite champagne and cake, sitting next to her, crying and laughing while chatting about our stories, and how much we miss her!” Dee wrote, according to Instagram’s translation.

Dee also noted the cold, rainy weather during their visit, saying it reminded her of Barbie.

“Next year I will be older than her, and I will have a super superstar sister, big S,” she said.

Barbie passed away at the age of 48 in February 2025 due to pneumonia. The Taiwanese actress is best known for her role as Shan Cai in "Meteor Garden."

Following her death, co-stars Jerry Yan, Ken Chu, and Rainie Yang shared heartfelt tributes.
