WATCH: Aladdin's Broadway cast pays tribute to original 'Genie' Robin Williams
Children of the 90's know Robin Williams best as the voice of Genie in the Disney animated film "Aladdin."
Upon Williams' passing this week, many celebrities paid their tribute to the actor-comedian following his death, including "Aladdin" co-star Lea Salonga, who provided the singing voice of Jasmine in the movie.
This time, it is the turn of the Broadway cast of "Aladdin" to pay their last respects to the beloved Genie.
James Monroe Iglehart, who currently plays Genie in the stage production, led the cast and the audience in singing "Friend Like Me" as a final gift to honor Williams' legacy and influence in his own career.
Williams was found dead at his California apartment on Monday. Police later confirmed the actor took his own life. — Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
