Neil Patrick Harris marries boyfriend

Neil Patrick Harris took to Twitter to break the happy news: he just got married!

 

The "Doogie Howser, M.D." and "How I Met Your Mother" star posted a photo of him and longtime partner David Burtka with a caption: "Guess what? @DavidBurtka and I got married over the weekend. In Italy. Yup, we put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband'."

 

 

The couple's relationship has been the subject of much speculation, which Harris earlier sought to dispel via social media. In an Instagram post, he posted a picture of Burtka along with their four-year-old twin sons with the caption: "I couldn't be more in love with my family. Any reports to the contrary are woefully mistaken. #grateful"

 

 

Harris and Burtka got engaged in 2011 after the state of New York passed a bill allowing gay marriage. — JST, GMA News
