Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke is this year's 'Sexiest Woman Alive' of Esquire

Men's magazine Esquire declared London-based "Mother of Dragons" Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke as the Sexiest Woman Alive for 2015 on Tuesday, October 13.

Clarke was nominated as most outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO series "Game of Thrones."

According to Esquire's Benjamin Markovits, "She manages to bring together a number of opposites, to make them natural: sweetness and toughness, emotionalism with a kind of cold-blooded determination. Something in these contrasts explains her sex appeal, too. She can play queen and kid sister, dominatrix and pal."

"Half pal, half dominatrix. Half kid sister, half sexy queen. The movie star who plays, in her real life, an anonymous, funny beauty. This is the gorgeous balance of Emilia Clarke," Markovits added.

Clarke was the Woman of the Year of GQ Magazine last September.

Aside from Game of Thrones, Clarke starred in the 2013 film 'Dom Hemingway,' and the Broadway production of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's.'

This year, she was the iconic Sarah Connor in 'Terminator Genisys.'  —  Bianca Rose Dabu/ELR, GMA News
