Pinay girl group 4th Impact wows during ‘X-Factor UK’ live show
All-Filipino girl group 4th Impact has been consistently impressing the judges of X-Factor UK since the live auditions in Wembley Stadium began last August.
Now, after making it to the Final 13 of the prestigious talent search last week, the group was among the first to perform in this season's first live show.
Formerly known as 4th Power, the group consists of sisters Mylene, Celina, Irene and Almira from Isabela province. The girls impressed both the audience and the judges with their colorful and energetic rendition of Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea's “Problem,” matched with powerful vocals and diva dance moves
Judge Simon Cowell told the sisters that their passion sets the group apart from the rest.
“That was fantastic. You know what’s great about you girls? You are great singers, and you’ve got attitude and you are passionate. I’ve had to hand this to you tonight. You’ve done an outstanding job,” he said.
Meanwhile, judge and Group category mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini remarked how much of a blessing the girl group is to the competition.
“I couldn’t be more proud. Please stop thanking us because we are thankful to have you,” she said. — Bianca Rose Dabu/BM, GMA News
