4th Impact member faints before ‘X-Factor UK’ live show
All-Filipino girl group 4th Impact proceeded to perform in the third live show of X-Factor UK this week despite a health problem experienced by one of its members backstage, minutes before the performance.
According to reports, Celina fainted and an ambulance was called for her, but she was eventually cleared to perform in front of the live audience.
The group was given a choice to not perform and just use their rehearsal tape, but they declined the offer and proceeded to wow the crowd live.
Celina, together with her sisters Mylene, Irene and Almira, performed Beyonce's hit "Work It Out" and impressed the judges once again.
Celina got dizzy after the energetic performance, but stayed on stage with her sisters to hear the judges' comments.
The competition's judges were amazed at the talent and professionalism displayed by the group.
“Under the circumstances, that was the most incredible performance we have ever seen. I was there as this was all happening backstage so I know what you’ve been through. I hope you’re okay, sweetheart,” said judge Simon Cowell.
"Celina, you really were a hero tonight, well done," judge Rita Ora added.
Another judge and Group category mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was undeniably proud of the girls for standing back up in the midst of unfortunate circumstances.
She said, "I'm so proud of all of you for getting up in those circumstances. You had the chance to use the rehearsal tapes but you said no."
"We suffer things like this. There's things you have to just do and you guys did that tonight without the professional experience," Versini added.
What a day/night! @4thImpactMusic did me proud tonight. 5 minutes before they took to the stage I was told they wouldn't be performing ????????????????????
