Lucky fan meets Rihanna backstage because of creative outfit

Although Grammy Award-winning pop megastar Rihanna consistently and flawlessly goes above and beyond in her “Anti World Tour,” it seems like her fans are also doing their best to surprise the Barbadian singer-songwriter.

Last week, the “Work” singer was blown away when a fan belted out a line from one of her songs. And just this Saturday, she was totally amused by one fan's creative costume

Emily Graily, a student studying costume design in UC Santa Cruz, went to Rihanna's concert in Ohio wearing an impressive copy of the pink Giambattista Valli dress the singer wore at the Grammy Awards night in 2015, complete with a light-up mask.

According to Emily in an interview with MTV, she is a huge Rihanna fan, and it took her two years to save up for a VIP concert ticket

The costume, however, only took her a week to make.

“So I live in California and had been saving up money for like two years to buy front-row VIP passes. As soon as they went on sale, I was trying to get San Jose and Oakland, and they were all sold out, so the only one left was Hartford, Connecticut, so I was like, I’ll take the trip. I want to be front row. I love her so much,” Emily shared.

Aside from going viral on social media and being an instant celebrity to fellow concert-goers, the lucky fan also got to meet Rihanna backstage and went on to grab a spot at the hitmaker's personal Instagram account.

Emily was obviously in awe after meeting her music hero. “She kept complimenting me — she was so nice! — even after a whole show, and she smelled amazing. She looked airbrushed. It was incredible. She wanted to try the mask on, so she tried it on, and then I did, and we took photos together,” she said.

The “Anti World Tour” is Rihana's seventh concert tour, which began on March 12 in Jacksonville, and is expected to conclude on August 21 in England.
