Amy Jo Johnson surprises new Power Rangers Movie cast
If you were ever a fan of Saban’s "Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers" in the '90s, then you’d be quite familiar with American/Canadian actress and singer Amy Jo Johnson, who played the iconic role of the original Pink Ranger Kimberly.
Now in her 40s but looking like she just barely left her 20s, the actress has also directed films, with her latest—a self-produced feature called “The Space Between Us”—set to be released sometime this year.
Now, on the eve of the release of the new "Power Rangers" movie, Johnson revisited her roots and gave the film's new cast of heroes a nice surprise by visiting them during a press junket in Toronto.
The actress interviewed Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin, and Naomi Scott, who play the Red Ranger, the Black Ranger, and the Pink Ranger in the live-action movie directed by Dean Israelite.

Featured in Entertainment Weekly, Johnson’s surprise visit took the new Rangers by storm and got them to reflect on the film and the legacy they are now becoming part of. “It’s a very diverse cast. I think, in the movie [the filmmakers] are definitely very specific about what issues we’re going through, you know, what normal, 17-year-old kids go through. A kid can relate to any one of us in some way,” said Scott told her Pink Ranger predecessor Johnson. “ But I can’t do any of the acrobatics like you [used to].”
