Fans react to Aaron Carter's revelation of sexuality on Twitter
American pop and hip hop singer Aaron Carter posted a moving note on his Twitter account Sunday, revealing his sexuality to his fans and followers.
It was a big moment for the 29-year-old pop star, who has been linked to stars like Madison Parker, Lee Karis, Hilary Duff, and Lindsay Lohan.
On the note, he said that when he was 13 years old, he started to find boys and girls attractive. It wasn't until he was 17 when he got involved with another man.
"There's something I'd like to say that I feel is important for myself and my identity that has been weighing on my chest for nearly half of my life. This doesn't bring me shame, just a weight and burden I have held onto for a long time that I would like to be lifted off of me. I grew up in this entertainment industry at a very young age and when I was around 13-years-old I started to find boys and girls attractive," read a portion of his note.
