George Clooney reveals that he met his wife Amal without leaving his home

Hollywood actor George Clooney in an interview for the new Netflix series "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman" revealed that he didn't have to step out of his house to meet his would-be wife, British-Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

In the preview for the show, Clooney tells Letterman that a friend was coming over to his house in Lake Como in July 2013 and had asked if it was alright to bring someone along.

Clooney had no clue who Alamuddin was at that point, but he got a call from his agent who said, “I got a call from my agent who said, ‘I met this woman who is coming to your house, who you’re going to marry.'”

“The funniest thing was my mom and dad were visiting so my parents were there. And we just talked, we stayed up all night talking,” Clooney added.

The actor said that he "didn't know if she wanted to go out with me, I thought we were just buddies" and Letterman jokingly responded, "Who would? Let's be frank, who would want to go out with you?"

Clooney and Alamuddin were engaged by April 2014 and they officially tied the knot on September 27, 2014 at Ca' Farsetti in Venice, Italy.
