Exo member, Xiumin, to join South Korean military next month

Xiumin, an Exo- member, is set to serve his country in the military next month, according to a report on GMA News' Saksi.

The singer, whose real name is Kim Min-Seok, will take a break from showbiz to enlist as an active duty soldier in the South Korean military by May 7, 2019.

Xiumin requested some privacy for his enlistment, so the time and venue was not announced.

But before he joins the military, Xiumin will be with his group to perform in Japan this month.

Xiumin will be the first member of EXO to join the South Korea military.

In South Korea, all male Koreans aged 18 to 28 are required to dedicate a part of their life to serve in the military. — BAP, GMA News
