Academy announces Oscar nominees; ‘Joker’ leads with 11

"Joker" leads this year's Academy Award nominations with 11 nods, it was revealed on Monday.

According to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' announcement, the nominations for "Joker" include Todd Phillips for Best Director and Joaquin Phoenix for Best Actor.

"The Irishman," "1917" and "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" were tied in joint second, with 10 nominations each.
