Robert Downey Jr. to produce DC Comics' 'Sweet Tooth' for Netflix

After being one of the main centerpieces of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2008, Robert Downey Jr. is now involved in a DC Comics project.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the "Iron Man" actor shared that he and his wife, Susan, will be producing a Netflix adaptation of Jeff Lemire's "Sweet Tooth" series.

According to DC Comics' announcement, actors Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Will Forte, Adeel Akhtar and James Brolin will star in the upcoming show.

"Sweet Tooth," which ran from 2009 to 2013, is the story of Gus, a half-boy, half-deer creature who manages to leave his home only to discover a post-apocalyptic world. —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
