Ansel Elgort accused of sexually assaulting 17-year-old girl in 2014

Ansel Elgort has become the subject of a controversy after a young woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2014, a few days after she had just turned 17.

In a statement, Twitter user @ItsGabby said she had messaged him a couple days before her birthday, and the actor had given her his private Snapchat.

"I didn't think he'd ever see my DM, I was just a kid and was a fan of him," she said.

Gabby said during the alleged ordeal, she was "sobbing in pain" and "didn't want to do it."

"The only words that came out of his mouth were, 'We need to break you in.' I WASNT there in that moment mentally. I dissociated myself and just felt like my mind was gone and I was in shock ... I couldn't leave, I was only 5'2" and 98 pounds," she wrote.

 "I was so young and he knew that. He as well said stuff like, 'You're going to be such a beautiful young lady when you're older'," she added.

Gabby also alleged that Elgort had asked her for nude photos, and "asked to have a threesome with me and one of my 'dance friends' and they were as well underage."

"I didn't tell anyone because he said it could 'ruin his career.' I sat there for months wondering what I did wrong. Wondering why I felt so used," she said.

She said she is coming forward with her story so she can "finally heal." She said even years later, she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and panic attacks, and that she has to go to therapy.

"I want to tell other girls who have been through the same sh*t as me, you're not alone. It's a lot for me to even come on here and tell my story but I know it's needed," she said.

Gabby also shared what appears to be a photo of her and Elgort, as well as pictures of their messages.

Her Twitter account seems to have been deactivates, as of time of posting.

Elgort has yet to respond to the accusation.

The 26-year-old American actor is known for his roles in "The Fault in Our Stars" and Divergent."
