Lindsay Lohan reunites with ’The Parent Trap’ cast on film's anniversary

Lindsay Lohan and the cast of “The Parent Trap” are reuniting after 22 years.

Director Nancy Meyers released a trailer that showed she and cast will have a virtual reunion today, July 20.

The reunion includes “Mean Girls” star Lindsay Lohan, who had her breakout role as the twins Annie and Hallie on “The Parent Trap.”

“It’s just really special,” Lohan says in the trailer.

Dennis Quaid, who played the twins’ father Nick Parker, and Elaine Hendrix, who played his fiancee Meredith Blake, will also be attending.

Natasha Richardson, who played the twins’ mother Elizabeth James, tragically died in March 2009 after a skiing accident.

Meyers said everyone fans will be able to see “The Parent Trap” cast back together again on July 20 on TV presenter Katie Couric’s Instagram page here.

The iconic romantic-comedy film released in 1998 is about two identical twins who were separated after their parent’s divorce. The siblings discover each other a few years later at a summer camp, where they hatch a clever plan to reunite their mom and dad. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
