Lewis Capaldi reveals inspiration behind hit single ‘Before You Go’

Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi has revealed the inspiration behind his hit single “Before You Go.”

In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” Wednesday, Lewis said painful experiences such as losing loved ones made him write the song.

Despite the success of “Before You Go” and his massive hit “Someone You Loved,” Lewis said he’s still the same down-to-earth guy.

“I’m such a diva these days. I will not eat anything except the finest meat, finest cheese,” the 23-year old singer joked.

“I still live at home. I still live with my parents. I don’t think they’d allow me to be too much of a diva,” he added.

Lewis said he wrote songs because it was his passion and not because of money.

“I wrote songs because I like writing songs. I didn’t write songs because I thought I’d make a lot of money out of it,” he said.
