GOT7 members reported to leave JYP Entertainment

All members of K-pop group GOT7 are reportedly leaving their label JYP Entertainment.

Citing a story from Korean news outlet Dispatch on January 10, Soompi said GOT7’s appearance at the 35th Golden Disc Awards would be their “last activity as a group.”

“The GOT7 members are very close. They agreed on staying together, but they disagreed on the choice of their agency,” Soompi quoted a source as saying.

“After multiple discussions with the company, they decided to part ways,” it added.

GOT7, which was formed under JYP Entertainment in 2014, is composed of JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom.

Some of its members have reportedly been in talks to sign with other entertainment agencies as their contracts with JYP are set to expire this month.

GOT7 had yet to make an official announcement on the group leaving JYP, but its members have posted a group photo on their social media accounts with the caption “#GOT7FOREVER.”

Mark also posted the group pic on Twitter, telling his fans that “The past 7 years have been the best years of my life.”

“Nothing is coming to an end, just the beginning. The seven of us are going to continue to bring you guys the best version of us till the end. #GOT7FOREVER,” he added.
