Marilyn Manson speaks up after Evan Rachel Wood accuse him of abuse
Shortly after Evan Rachel Wood accused Marilyn Manson of "horrifically" abusing her, the rockstar took to social media to defend himself.
"These recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality," Manson wrote after acknowledging that his life and his art were often "magnets of controversy."
"My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners," he continued.
"Regardless of how — or why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth," Manson ended his statement.
Wood on Monday accused Manson of being a "dangerous man" who subjected her to years of abuse starting when she was a teenager.
The American actress had in a past, alleged abuse by an ex-partner she refused to name but on Monday, finally came forward to identify her abuser as "Brian Warner, also known to the world a Marilyn Manson."
According to Wood, she's had enough of living in fear of "retaliation, slander, or blackmail."
A report on AFP said the couple had been engaged until they broke it off in 2010. They went public with their relationship in 2007, when Wood was 19. — LA, GMA News
