Chris Pratt reportedly denies writing racist, anti-Muslim tweets
Chris Pratt has reportedly denied having written a series of offensive tweets that have been circulating social media this week.
The tweets in question appear to have been posted from 2012 and 2013, with one saying "calling another n***a a 'n****r' is hilarous idc," while the other says, "Muslims scare me so much."
However, according to TMZ, the spokesperson of the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star has reportedly come forward to say that Pratt did not write these messages.
"Chris never tweeted the offensive things that are being circulated today. Any suggestion that he did is not only totally false but also defamatory,” the representative was quoted as saying.
A senior executive for Twitter has reportedly backed Pratt’s claim, saying they "strongly believe these [tweets] to be fake."
Pratt’s spokesperson, however, confirmed that the actor wrote a controversial tweet in 2012 that said: “#MissUniverse In a way they all look like Miss Hungry.”
