Pierce Brosnan to play Dr. Fate in 'Black Adam' —report
Pierce Brosnan has reportedly joined the cast of the upcoming superhero film "Black Adam" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
According to Variety, the James Bond actor has been cast to play Dr. Fate, who is known as a founding member of the "Justice Society."
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and based on the original DC comic, "Black Adam" follows the story of the anti-hero of the same name.
Dwayne Johnson is expected to star as the titular character "Black Adam," alongside "To All The Boys" star Noah Centineo who will play "Atom Smasher."
Variety said the cast also includes Aldis Hodge as "Hawkman," while Quintessa Swindell will play "Cyclone."
Pierce Brosnan, who played James Bond in the iconic 007 franchise for four movies, recently appeared in the films "The Foreigner," "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga" and two "Mamma Mia" films.
