Olivia Rodrigo to drop debut album 'Sour' this May
Filipino-American singer Olivia Rodrigo is going full speed ahead!
The record-breaking artist announced on social media that her debut album "Sour" is set to be released this May 21.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the 17-year old singer gave fans a sneak peek of her album artwork where she can be seen covered in colorful stickers with "Sour" spelled out on her tongue.
Her post also showed the 11-track list of the upcoming album, which includes the record-breaking ballad "Drivers License" released last January and the hit breakup anthem "Deja Vu" released early this April.
Fans can only speculate what her new songs will be about, but they're already preparing for more heartbreak as Olivia's songs come with titles such as "hope ur ok," "traitor," "enough for you," and "1 step forward, 3 steps back."
Olivia earlier made headlines after "Drivers License" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, a feat achieved by less than 50 songs in the 63-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It put the "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" actress in the same ranks as Michael Jackson (“You Are Not Alone”), Whitney Houston (“Exhale (Shoop Shoop)”), Celine Dion (“My Heart Will Go On”), Taylor Swift (“Cardigan”), and Ariana Grande (“Positions").
Earlier this April, Olivia's "Drivers License" also became the first song to reach one billion global streams in 2021. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
