‘Friends’ mom Judy Geller says Ross and Rachel were on a break

Sounds like the dispute on whether Ross and Rachel were on a break in “Friends” is settled.

In an interview with E! News, actress Christina Pickles, who played Ross and Monica's mom Judy Geller, said that she thinks it’s “appropriate for me to weigh in on the lasting debate.”

“It’s been 15 long years since Ross and Rachel decided to live happily ever after so I finally think enough time has passed,” she began.

“They were on a break!” She said, referencing the great "Friends" debate in season 3 of the beloved show.

“First off, Rachel rudely calls the door when she straight up said [that they] should just take a break,” she said, adding that Ross got extremely hurt.

“Let us not forget. Ross would not have gone and screwed that random girl from the bar if Rachel didn’t invite her super steamy co-worker, Mark, over.”

She added that Ross, finding that information out after they just split, made him “pivot.”

“Now that we finally got mom’s opinion, we can move on," she continued before addressing her screen son: "And Ross, I’ll be there for you.”

Last week, the first teaser trailer for the much-awaited reunion of the cast of “Friends” has been released on social media.

In the two-minute video, Jennifer Anniston (Rachel), herself, also said “yes” when James Corden asked “Were Rachel and Ross on a break?”

“Friends: The Reunion” will be streaming on May 27 on HBO Max. Filipinos can also watch it via TV broadcast on the HBO channel at 9pm.
