Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Been in talks to star in a new drama
Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Been may star in a new drama together.
A report on Soompi Wednesday pointed to an industry representative reporting that "Shin Hyun Been has been cast for a leading role in the new JTBC drama ‘Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son.'"
Hyun Been's agency Yooborn Company commented on the report, saying she is currently reviewing it.
It was previously announced that Song Joong Ki is in talks to play the male lead, Jin Do Joon.
Lee Sung Min is also revealed to be considering a role on the drama.
Soompi said "Chaebol Family's Youngest Son" follows a person who was killed after being framed for embezzlement by a chaebol family (a large family-owned business conglomerate) to whom he was loyal to for a decade.
The person is reborn as the youngest son of the chaebol family as he plans his revenge working to take over the business.
According to Soompi, Hyun Been has been offered the role of Seo Min Young who works at the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office. Her character is the type who can break the law for justice.
Additionally, the report said her character, Min Young, and Joong Ki's possible character, Do Jin, will be involved in a relationship.
Hyun Been has been recognized as Jang Gyeo UI in "Hospital Playlist" which she is gearing up for its second season premiering on June 17.
The filming of "Chaebol Family's Youngest Son" is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2021.
