Dua Lipa sued for sharing paparrazi photo on Instagram
Dua Lipa is being sued for sharing a paparrazi photo on her Instagram account.
According to a State of the Nation report on Monday, US Court documents showed that the pop singer didn't have permission from the photographer to post the photo.
The company Integral Images said that Dua Lipa profited from posting the photo on Instagram and is suing the artist for $150,000 or around P7.5 million.
Under the copyright law, a photo is owned by the photographer and not the subject of the photo.
In the now deleted photo taken on February 2019, Dua Lipa can be seen standing in line at the airport holding her ticket and passport while wearing an oversized hat.
The Grammy-award-winning artist, known for her hit songs "Levitating" and "New Rules," has yet to respond.
Dua Lipa isn't the first artist to be sued for posting a paparrazi photo. In the past, Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber were also sued. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
