Britney Spears deletes Instagram account, says she's taking a break from social media
Britney Spears has deactivated her Instagram account.
The development comes after the American singer announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari.
Her last post was a message to her fans and supporters, who had protested her conservatorship and backed her during court proceedings.
"I've waited 13 years and counting for my freedom," Britney wrote. "Again... team #FreeBritney you guys f-king kick ass. Love you so much and God bless!"
On Twitter, Britney asked her fans not to worry about her sudden disappearance from the social media platform.
Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement ???????? !!!! I’ll be back soon ?????????
