'Fantastic Beasts 3' finally reveals title and release date

Prepare to return to the Wizarding World, because the next “Fantastic Beasts” film just released its official title and release date.

According to a short teaser posted on their official social media account, the upcoming film is called “The Secrets of Dumbledore,” and it will open in theaters on April 15, 2022.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” follows the adventures of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), the celebrated author of the book considered to be the premier bestiary of J.K. Rowlong’s wizarding world.

After two films, the franchise will carry on without Johnny Depp, who resigned from the franchise, following the news that he lost his libel case over a tabloid article alleging he was a “wife beater.”

It was announced that “Hannibal” actor Mads Mikkelsen will replace Depp as the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
