'The Good Doctor' star Freddie Highmore is now married!

Freddie Highmore is now married!

The star of hit series "The Good Doctor" confirmed the news in an episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Jimmy asked him about his wedding band and the English actor opened up on his feelings about getting hitched.

"I'm not gonna jump up and down the couch on a talk show and express my excitement that way, I know you do that in America," he said. "But I am as happy as a Brit can be. I'm married to a wonderful woman now."

Freddie, however, said he is still getting used to the new terminologies of having a spouse.

"'A married man' sounds very old and 'my wife' sounds very possessive," he said. "So we don't really use that yet. We just point to the rings and be like, 'Here. Make or draw your own conclusion.'"

When asked if his wife is allowed to call him "my husband," Freddie said that it sounds a bit better than "my wife."

Jimmy then told him he needs to "loosen up a lot."

"It's still early days. Thank you for the tips," Freddie answered, laughing.
