Singer-songwriter Skilyr Hicks, who wowed the judges on “America’s Got Talent” when she was 14, has reportedly passed away.
According to TMZ, the 23-year-old was found dead at a friend’s home in Liberty, South Carolina, last Monday.
Authorities reportedly arrived at the scene to assist emergency medical services “on a possible overdose.”
While exact circumstances of her death remained unknown as of the report, Hicks’s mother reportedly shared that her daughter “battled with mental health issues, including depression and substance abuse.”
Hicks appeared on the eighth season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” in 2013.
