Gong Yoo in talks for a lead role in new drama penned by 'Kingdom' writer Kim Eun Hee

South Korean superstar Gong Yoo is in talks for a new starring role in a drama penned by "Kingdom" writer Kim Eun Hee.

According to a Soompi report on Wednesday, the "The Silent Sea" actor is in talks to work with "Mr. Sunshine" actress Kim Tae Ri in the upcoming drama called "The Devil."

Gong Yoo's management, Management SOOP, released a statement and said, "It’s true that he received an offer [to star in] ‘The Devil.’ It’s one of the projects he’s reviewing.”

Talks of Gong Yoo starring in a new series circulated online after industry representatives reported that the actor received an offer to star in "The Devil" by writer Kim Eun Hee, the woman behind the hit Netflix series "Kingdom."
