Adele tearfully postpones Las Vegas shows due to delays and COVID-19: 'I'm so sorry'
Adele tearfully announced the postponement of her Las Vegas residency due to delays and COVID-19 in an emotional video on Instagram Thursday, one day before she was to kickstart "Weekends with Adele."
In her Instagram post, the singer apologized profusely to her fans as she shared having tried everything they could for the shows to run.
"I'm so sorry but my show ain't ready," Adele said tearfully. "We've tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID."
According to Adele, half her team was already down with the virus and it became impossible to finish the show.
"I'm gutted. I'm so sorry it's last minute. We've been awake for 30 hours now trying to figure it out. We've run out of time and I'm so upset and I'm really embarrassed. I'm so sorry to everyone who's traveled again," the award-winning songwriter and singer shared.
"It's really been impossible. We've been up against so much and it just aint ready. I'm really sorry. I'm sorry," Adele added.
At the end of the video, Adele assured her fans that she will reschedule all of her shows and that she was going to finish the show and get it "to where it's supposed to be."
