iKON members Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, Donghyuk test positive for COVID-19
Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk of K-Pop group iKON tested positive for COVID-19.
The update was shared by their agency, YG Entertainment, on Sunday. The statement, published on Soompi, said their RT-PCR tests came back positive after they experienced “mild cold symptoms.”
“They used COVID-19 self-test kits to test themselves, and their initial results were positive,” it read. “All of the iKON members immediately halted their scheduled activities and underwent PCR testing.”
“While in self-quarantine, Bobby, Koo Junhoe, and Jung Chanwoo’s results came back negative, and the remaining three members were ultimately confirmed to have COVID-19,” it added.
The group has already halted their scheduled activities to ensure recovery and safety for everyone. YG Entertainment said they will also be working closely with health authorities.
“We will be unsparing in our support of not only Kim Jinhwan, Song Yunhyeong, and Kim Donghyuk’s speedy recovery, but also the health and safety of all our artists.”
The group made their latest comeback in March 2021 with the release of their single “Why Why Why.”—Franchesca Viernes/JAB, GMA News.
