iKON’s Junhoe, TREASURE’s Yoshi get COVID-19

Two more K-Pop idols have tested positive for COVID-19.

On Tuesday, YG Entertainment announced in a statement that iKON member Junhoe and TREASURE’s Yoshi had contracted the virus.

The update came just days after iKON’s Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk tested positive via an RT-PCR test and experienced mild cold symptoms.

“Junhoe underwent PCR testing on January 22 and received negative results. However, two days later on January 24, he had a mild sore throat and was re-examined,” said the statement as reported by Soompi.

“TREASURE member Yoshi, whose PCR test results came out positive, will also be self-quarantined and treated at home,” it added.

YG Entertainment said Junhoe and Yoshi were currently in good health and had received their vaccines prior to the infection.

It said their artists and staff members would undergo tests whether or not they had close contact with those who tested positive. Their office would also be disinfected.

Since the announcement, Junhoe and Yoshi have been receiving well wishes on social media. They are also leading the trending topics with hundreds of thousands of tweets from Filipino fans.
