Shay Mitchell is pregnant with her second child with Matte Babel

Filipino-Canadian actress Shay Mitchell is pregnant with her second child with her boyfriend Matte Babel.

On Instagram, Shay announced the news with a photo of her baby bump and a couple of snapshots of herself flaunting her belly.

"Saying goodbye to a loved one while simultaneously experiencing the joy of welcoming another into this world is the great cycle of life," Shay wrote in the caption of her post.

The "YOU" star said experiencing this "is also my most challenging season to date."

"I can’t help but think this was the universe’s plan all along, knowing I would need other worldly joy to cushion the blow of losing one of the most important people in my life," she added.

Shay said "Yet, this is proof that love, life and loss can profoundly exist all at the same time."

In the latter part of her post, Shay expressed how much she misses her late grandmother and how excited she is to meet their new bundle of joy. 

"Gram, I miss you every day. Little one, we are so excited to meet you. I breathe a sigh of peace knowing you two are already connected in such a cosmic way," she wrote.

In October 2019, Shay announced that she and Matte have welcomed their first child together on her Instagram account. —JAB, GMA News.
