Yeonjun of TXT tests positive for COVID-19

Yeonjun of TXT or Tomorrow X Together has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement on Thursday, BigHit Music said Yeonjun felt sick and had a headache on Saturday. After visiting a hospital, he took a PCR test which came back negative.

BigHit said he still went into preemptive quarantine “away from the other members.” However, he later began showing “other mild symptoms such as a mild fever and sore throat.”

Yeonjun took another PCR test on Wednesday and was diagnosed with COVID-19 this morning, said the agency.

According to BigHit, Yeonjun does not have other extraordinary symptoms and is “undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the healthcare authorities.”

It also said he had completed two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Meanwhile, the four other TXT members were not showing any symptoms and received negative results from their self-tests today.

“The company places the artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid Yeonjun in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities,” said BigHit. – RC, GMA News
