Rosé of Blackpink gets COVID-19, other members test negative

Blackpink member Rosé has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a statement shared by Soompi Monday, YG Entertainment said the K-Pop star received the result prior to a scheduled flight. The other three members, meanwhile, are negative of the virus.

“Blackpink’s Rosé took a PCR test before her [overseas] departure on February 28, and the results came back positive, leading to a cancellation of a part of her overseas activities,” it read.

“Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa tested negative, and no one, including Rosé who was diagnosed with COVID-19, is exhibiting any particular symptoms,” it added.

YG Entertainment said all four members have completed their COVID-19 vaccines, and their health will all be prioritized, as well as their other artists and staff members’.

“We would appreciate it if you could show support for Rosé’s rapid recovery as well as the Blackpink members who are active globally,” it said, adding that updates will be given if there are any.

In November last year, Lisa also tested positive for the virus. She was reported to have recovered weeks later. — LA, GMA News
