The Wanted’s Tom Parker dies of brain cancer at 33
Tom Parker, member of the British band The Wanted, has passed away due to brain cancer. He was 33.
His wife Kelsey shared the news on Wednesday, saying the singer died “peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.”
“Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence,” she wrote on Instagram.
“We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children,” she said.
Kelsey expressed pride for the love of her life for fighting “until the very end.”
The Wanted members Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes, and Jay McGuiness also mourned Tom’s death shortly after Kelsey’s announcement.
“Tom was an amazing husband to Kelsey, and father to Aurelia and Bodhi. He was our brother, words can’t express the loss and sadness we feel. Always and forever in our hearts,” said their post.
In October 2020, Tom took to Instagram to share that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was in the process of undergoing treatment.
The Wanted, which was formed in 2009, are popular for songs including “Glad You Came” and “Chasing The Sun.” In November, they released “Most Wanted,” a compilation of their biggest hits.
