BTS ‘Boy With Luv’ hits 1.5 billion views 3 years after release

BTS’s song “Boy With Luv” has surpassed over 1.5 billion views on YouTube!

According to a Soompi report on Thursday, the music video hit 1.5 billion views on April 21. It also said this was the group’s first music video to reach the said number.

Released April 12, 2019, the song and the music video featured American singer Halsey.

At the time, “Boy With Luv” set the record for the most-viewed music video in 24 hours with over 74.6 million views. It’s also the fastest music video then to reach 100 million views in under two days.

The song hit the 1-billion mark in January 2021 or less than two years after its release.

“Boy With Luv,” the lead single off BTS’s album “Map of the Soul: Persona,” was also released in 2020 as part of their album “Map of the Soul: 7.” – RC, GMA News
