Jennifer Hudson achieves EGOT status after Tony Awards 2022 win

Jennifer Hudson has achieved the EGOT status after "A Strange Loop" won at the Tony Awards 2022.

According to a "24 Oras" report, Monday, the singer-actress served as a producer for the title, which was named Best Musical at the award-giving ceremony.

The EGOT status is attained when a personality has been given recognition by the four major American entertainment award-giving bodies, namely Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.

These awards are given to those who have shown outstanding achievement in television, recording, film, and theater.

Jennifer is the 17th personality who has achieved the EGOT status. She joins the likes of Tim Rice, John Legend, Audrey Hepburn, Rita Moreno, Mel Brooks, and Alan Menken, among other EGOT titleholders.
