Blackpink to comeback in August, to stage 'largest world tour in K-pop girl group history'

Get yourselves ready and in order because not only is Blackpink is coming back in August, the famous K-pop girl group will also be staging a world tour!

None other than the K-pop girl group's management YG Entertainment confirmed the news, Soompi reports.

Blackpink is nearly done recording their new album, and will begin shooting their video this month for a spectacular August release.

Meanwhile, plans for the "largest-scale world tour in K-pop girl group history" are also in place, a source said.

The news has sent Blackpink trending on Philippine Twitter with nearly 700K tweets through most of Tuesday morning. 

Blackpink has been away for nearly two years, having last released "The Album" in 2020. It featured blockbuster hits "Ice Cream" and "How You Like that." — LA, GMA News
