IU donates 200M Won to a great cause in honor of her 14th debut anniversary

IU celebrated her 14th debut anniversary by donating to a great cause.

The South Korean singer donated 100 million Won (approximately P4.1 million) to the health organization Asan Foundation, and another 100 million Won to the Seoul Metropolitan Child Welfare Association. Her agency EDAM Entertainment shared the news on Instagram.

According to a Soompi report, “IU’s donation will be used to pay for the cancer treatment of women and children with financial difficulties and to help young people preparing for self-independence.”

IU shared through the EDAM page that she made this donation with her fans, called UAEANA. She even donated under IUAENA, a mix of their names.

“With my UAENA, who has constantly presented big and small miracles for 15 years, I am sharing warmth again this year with a heart full of gratitude. As we confirmed in one place yesterday, I hope that our hearts will come together to bring another small miracle to someone. All the time I spent with UAENA for 15 years has been my golden hour. Thank you and I love you so much,” the Soompi translation said.

One of Korea’s top singers, IU is best known for the songs “LILAC,” “eight,” “BBIBBI,” and “Celebrity,” among many others. — LA, GMA News
