NCT 127 concert in Jakarta ends early after at least 30 fans faint

NCT 127’s concert in Jakarta, Indonesia was cut short after at least 30 of their fans fainted.

According to a report on Soompi, a bomb threat was made before the show, which was held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition on November 4. Police did not find any evidence of bombs or explosives after a thorough search.

While the concert still pushed through, the guests in the standing section started to crowd near the stage.

The NCT 127 members noticed the crowd and urged concertgoers not to push and to move back.

The report added that the group even stopped performing at one point and cut off the music to speak to the crowd. Member Doyoung said, “Safety is what’s most important. Let’s make a promise not to push.”

Despite that, the pushing continued, and the crowd was unable to get under control. The K-pop group eventually left the stage, and the show was cut short due to safety concerns.

Local police said that at least 30 people fainted during the event.

The concert’s organizer, Dyandra Global Edutainment, released a statement and apologized for what happened.

“We’re deeply sorry for everyone who came to our Day 1 show for not being able to enjoy the concert until the end,” the statement said. “We would also like to apologize to all members of NCT 127 and SM Entertainment for not making the desired concert possible.”

The organizers added that for the second concert happening on November 5, they will add more paramedics and security personnel, and will continue to work closely with local police to avoid any more incidents.

NCT 127 is composed of Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan.

Their hits include “Cherry Bomb,” and “Favorite (Vampire).”
