Daesung after departure from YG Entertainment: 'Forever, BIGBANG'

BIGBANG member Daesung has a comforting message to fans following his departure from YG Entertainment.

In a YouTube video, Daesung shared a heartfelt letter, saying that he is embarking on a new adventure with gratitude to his former label.

"I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared," he said, as translated by Soompi. "As nervous as I am about taking this bold step forward, I believe it will definitely be worth it in the end.

"The year 2023 is approaching. Without an inkling as to what the future holds, I take this step forward into the unknown with only a brave heart. And I intend to walk down this road with stoic determination."

Daesung said that he is "still quite inexperienced and lacking in many ways" but that he hopes that fans will continue to support his journey.

As a postscript, he added, "Someone once said, 'Nothing lasts forever.' No. Some things last. Forever…BIGBANG."

YG Entertainment announced Daesung's departure in December. At the same time, fellow BIGBANG member Taeyang signed with THEBLACKLABEL.
