Jennifer Coolidge gets laughs from the audience for her Golden Globes speech
Spoilers ahead for the TV show, "The White Lotus"
Jennifer Coolidge won Best Supporting Actress for Television - Limited Series for the HBO hit show, "The White Lotus," at the 80th Golden Globe Awards and quickly tickled the audience pink with her distinct humor.
"I can put this down, right?" She began, referring to the Golden Globe Award she had just received.
"I don't work out, you know what I mean? I can't hold it that long," she added.
In her speech, Coolidge said, "I had such big dreams and expectations as a younger person, but what happened was they get sort of fizzled by life or whatever."
"I thought I was going to be Queen of Monaco even though somebody else did it," she said, joking.
Thanking show's creator Mike White, Coolidge said "You changed my life in a million different ways. My neighbors are speaking to me, and things like that."
"I was never invited to one party on my hill, and now, everyone's inviting me," she added, to more laughs from the audience.
"You make people wanna live longer — and I didn't!" Coolidge added.
The actress thanked others for giving her "cute" jobs that "would just be enough to keep getting to the next one and the next one."
One of the people Coolidge singled out was Reese Witherspoon. Coolidge said, "Reese, you got me 'Legally Blonde.'"
Referring to her other film credits, Coolidge said, "'American Pie,' I milked that to the bone."
"I'm still going for 6 or 7, whatever they want," she added.
