Michelle Yeoh shares awkward moment when mom chaperoned her on a date: 'His hand on my mom's hand'


Michelle Yeoh's dating life as a teenager might sound familiar to a lot of youngsters dealing with strict parents.

On The Graham Norton Show, the Golden Globes Best Actress shared her mom always chaperoned her on dates until she "went to England to study."

"You have to remember moms are very protective, right? For all the right reasons. So, she always went on a date," Michelle began.

Then she recounted one particular funny/awkward outing when she was seated between her date and her mom.

"I suddenly realized, 'Why are there two hands on my leg?' So, it was his hand on my mom's hand," she said, laughing.

In the same interview, Michelle shared how her strict mother actually signed her up for the Miss Malaysia beauty pageant, which ever the winner that Michelle is, Michelle won.

Michelle is currently on the award circuit for her role in the movie, "Everything Everywhere All At Once." She won a Golden Globe Award for it. — LA, GMA Integrated News
