Rufa Mae Quinto recalls how Heart Evangelista helped her sell shoes, watches amid pandemic

Before leaving for the United States in 2020, Rufa Mae Quinto said that Heart Evangelista was the last person she saw in the Philippines.

In Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the 44-year-old comedienne recalled how Heart was kind enough to buy some of her designer items and even help her sell some to her friends.

"That time, nasa Tupperware lahat ng shoes ko, tapos pinilit niya ako [sabi niya], 'tara na sige na dalhin mo,' hanggang siya na naglinis isa isa, nilatag niya lahat," Rufa said.

Rufa appreciated Heart's gesture that even though she didn't intentionally ask Heart to buy, she still did.

"Nakakatuwa nga eh, hindi ko naman siya binebentahan, siya na lang nagbenta tapos nagbenta pa siya sa iba niyang friends," she said.

"Kaya natutuwa ako sa kanya, napakabait," she added.

One of the many things Heart bought from Rufa was a pair of Gucci shoes which she got for only P5,000.

Rufa and Heart have a long-standing friendship dating back to 1995 when they met at a family friend's wake.

"Nagandahan kami sa isa't isa. Sabi ko ang ganda mo. Hindi niya pala na-forget. Tapos nagkita kami, artista na siya!" she said.

In 2011, the two worked together in the remake of "Temptation Island."

Rufa is currently in the Philippines for a few tapings and endorsement shoots. Last year, she became a Kapuso again after signing with Sparkle.
