Jessica Alba, husband Cash Warren separate after 16 years
Jessica Alba has announced that she and husband Cash Warren have separated after 16 years of marriage.
In an Instagram statement, the Hollywood actress said that they are embarking on a "new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals."
“I've been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years—both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” she said. “I'm proud of how we've grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it's now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”
“We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family," she added.
Jessica said that their children “remain our highest priority” and requested for privacy.
Jessica and Cash met while filming “Fantastic Four” in 2004. The actress starred as Sue Storm, whereas Cash was the assistant to director Tim Story.
They got married in 2008 and have three children together: teen daughters Honor and Haven, and seven-year-old son Hayes.
Jessica, Cash, and their kids were together in early January to celebrate Hayes’ birthday at Universal Studios, based on the actress’ Instagram post.
TMZ first reported on January 9 that Jessica and Cash had separated and nearing a divorce.
A source then told People Magazine, "No matter what's going on right now, it seems they will remain close. If they're filing for divorce, it's not because of some hateful drama."
Another source told the magazine that Jessica employed a divorce lawyer on January 15.
