Shakira dedicates Grammy win to US immigrants; ‘I will always fight with you’
Shakira paid homage to U.S. immigrants following her 2025 Grammy Awards win.
On Instagram, the Columbian pop star shared some snaps of her holding her trophy during the award ceremony in Los Angeles, California on Monday (Philippine time).
“I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country. You are loved, you are worth it, and I will always fight with you,” Shakira wrote.
She also honored women who work hard every day to provide for their families.
“You are the true she-wolves. So this is for you too,” Shakira added.
Ending her post, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer made a huge shoutout to her kids Milan and Sasha, whom she is sharing the awards with.
“I'm so proud of you guys, of your kind hearts. Thank you so much for supporting me the way you do. I love you. Thank you!” she ended.
The Latina singer took home the Best Latin Pop Album during the 2025 Grammys for her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” album.
Released in 2024, the album contained 17 songs written in Spanish.
More of Shakira's songs are “Waka Waka,” “Whenever, Wherever,” and “Beautiful Liar,” which she sang together with Beyonce.
