Vanness Wu pays tribute to Barbie Hsu after her death: 'Thank you for all your kindness throughout the years'

Vanness Wu honored Barbie Hsu's memory on social media following the "Meteor Garden" star's untimely death early this week.

On Instagram Friday, the Taiwanese-American actor and singer shared a photo of the Barbie logo against a solid black background.

"Big Smile, Big Heart, Big Laugh, Big Love... Big S," wrote Vanness in the caption.

"Thank you for all your kindness throughout the years, especially when we first met... Miss you dearly Barbie. Rest in Love."

Vanness played the role of Mei Zuo in the hit Taiwanese drama series "Meteor Garden" in 2001. He was also a member of the Taiwanese boy band F4, which he and co-stars Jerry Yan, Ken Chu, and Vic Chou formed after the show's success.

The series follows the life of Dong Shan Cai (Barbie) and her encounters with four wealthy boys, Dao Ming Si (Jerry), Xi Men (Ken), Mei Zuo (Vanness), and Hua Ze Lei (Vic), at school.

Barbie passed away on February 2 due to influenza-induced pneumonia while in Japan. She was 48.

It was reported on Thursday that the late actress's remains are now in Taiwan.

Her husband, South Korean rapper DJ Koo, has broken his silence in the wake of her death, posting a statement on Instagram Thursday in both Chinese and Korean.

“I am currently in a state of indescribable sadness and pain, with a heart as if being cut by a knife, and my insides are torn apart," he said according to translation. "I have no strength to speak, nor do I want to speak."

Tributes from co-stars Ken, Jerry, and Rainie Yang, as well as fans poured in following Barbie's death.
